2019年第19屆陸運會

Sports plays a crucial role in life especially for every school-age child. It does not only enhance their physical activity but also increases self-esteem and mental strength. The 19th Annual Athletic Meet was successfully held in Kowloon Bay Sport Ground on 10th May (Heats) and 19th May (Final) 2019 for S1 to S5 students. Our School Principal, Mr. K.W. Au declared the Meet open and took salute from athletes of the four competing Houses (Red, Orange, Yellow and Green), as they marched past the tracks with their respective flags held high.
 

One of the highlights of the Athletic Meet was the Cheering Competitions by four competing Houses, showing students’ excellent co-ordination and collaboration, gymnastics skills and great sense of belonging to their Houses. Individual track events included 00m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m races while field events included long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin. Moreover, there were Inter-House 4X100m and 4X400m relays and Inter-Club 4X100m relay. At the closing ceremony, Mr. Au congratulated all the winners and announced that 13 new records were unprecedentedly set. In addition, it is our honour to have Mr. Yeung Tak-keung, JP, Commissioner for Sports, The Government of the Hong Kong SAR Administrative Region, Home Affairs Bureau - Recreation and Sport Branch as our Guest of Honour. Mr. Yeung described our students’ characters as lively extroversion and praised our students of showing serious and positive attitudes towards sports.
