Congratulations to Dr. Annie Wu! She is awarded Doctor of Humanities (Hon.) by the Hong Kong Polytechnics University and appointed as the Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania in Hong Kong and Macau
Dr. Annie Wu has been the School Supervisor of CFSS since the school’s inception until August 2018 when she handed over the duty to Ms. Marina Wong and served as a School Management Committee member.
Dr. Annie Wu Suk-ching, Honorary Chairman of Beijing Air Catering Company Limited, is lauded as a pioneer of the Hong Kong-Mainland air catering industry. As founder of the first Sino-foreign joint venture, and head of some 15 joint venture air catering companies in Hong Kong and the Mainland, Dr Wu’s business success is only rivalled by her dedication to philanthropy and education. Her charitable work has resulted in great improvement in education opportunities for young people and women. Dr Wu is passionate in nurturing young people to become socially responsible leaders of tomorrow, and has been actively involved in PolyU’s Global Youth Leadership Programme since 2013. She also played a significant role in fostering the formation of Hong Kong’s first university-industry collaborated FinTech Centre by PolyU and AMTD Group. Dr. Wu was awarded the Ten Outstanding Young Persons’ Award in 1978, the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong in 1990 and the Silver Bauhinia Star in 1999.
Dr Annie Wu Suk-ching was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humanities.
