環保教育徑:平板電腦式「移動學習」

「移動學習」是一個創新的學習模式,學生可透過不同的電腦設備,配以不同的教學法,在課室、校園甚至在戶外作全方位的教學活動,解決傳統學習不能兼顧的學習問題,讓學生從活動中學習。教師在中三科學科課程中使用了「移動學習」學習模式,利用學校的環保教育徑、溫室,配以平板電腦教授學生植物物種多樣性及基本物種識別的技巧。

  • Teacher briefly introducing different large plant groups in the world

  • Teacher comparing monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants

  • A group of students investigating the features of Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla) and general morphology of gymnosperms

  • A teacher asking students to work on the questions preloaded in iPads by searching for information in the Trail

  • A teacher showing distinctive xerophytic features of cactus which bear sharp needles and greenish succulent stems

  • Students indulging themselves in information searches in the Internet and their real experience in front of the species

  • Students applying identification skills just acquired to categorize Paper-Bark Tree into correct plant phylum in addition to studying the medicinal effect of the tree

  • Under the Chinese Banyan (Ficus microcarpa), a student concentrating on the morphology as described on the display board

  • Students sitting aside and discussing among themselves

  • A teacher assisting students to solve the technical hiccups when they search for information using iPads via the WiFi system
