CFSS grasping top honors in Tai Chi Push Hands Competition
A total of more than 80 CFSS students participated in the "Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of the People's Republic of China - Tai Chi Push Hands Competition" co-organized by TaiChi Academy International, Lok Wah's Garden and Kwun Tong District Office on 24 November 2024 (Sun).
"Tai Chi" is a profound Chinese culture that integrates fitness and sports. The Tai Chi Push Hands Competition aims to promote Chinese culture in schools, so that students can understand and recognize the excellent traditional Chinese culture through the Push Hands Workshop. Promotion of Tai Chi can strengthen National Education in schools, let students understand the long history and culture of our motherland, consciously safeguarding national and ethnic unity thereby enhancing students' sense of belonging and identity to the country with national awareness.
With the support of our governor Mr. Lau Kar Wah and Head of PE Department Mr. Chan Kwok Leung, the students performed outstandingly in the competition. Out of the various categories, CFSS bagged 15 champions, 11 first runners-ups and 20 second runners-ups in total. CFSS eventually attained the Overall Championships in both Boys and Girls groups. We congratulate all the winning members!
