CFSS Students Actively Participated in the "Principals Forum"
The "Principals Forum" was organized by the China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture. A sharing session was held in the afternoon of December 18 (Wednesday). The theme was "How to inspire students to appreciate the natural beauty of Hong Kong". The guest speakers were Hong Kong Chronicles Institute Dr. Ming Rou-you of the Center, Principal Ho Tik Shun of The Chinese Foundation Secondary School and Principal Ching Chi Cheung of The Salvation Army Ann Wyllie Memorial School. 9 CFSS teachers and students actively participated in the Forum.
The Hong Kong Chronicles Institute was sponsored by the CR Charitable Fund to publish "Beautiful Hong Kong - A Journey in Nature" (a set of five volumes), more than 2,000 volumes of which had been donated to primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong with two volumes to each school. The Hong Kong Chronicles Institute donated two additional sets to The Chinese Foundation Secondary School and The Salvation Army Ann Wyllie Memorial School. In addition to promoting extensive reading, it is also important to let students understand the close geographical, ecological, cultural, and historical connections between Hong Kong and South China, and to inspire students to appreciate Hong Kong’s natural beauty and cultivate students' interest in natural sciences.
