Transdisciplinary Global Challenge Learning Programme
On Friday, 20 March 2026, our students and teachers attended the Global Challenges Student Showcase organized by The Baptist University of Hong Kong at the covered playground of The Chinese Foundation Secondary School. The exhibition featured creative projects by students from the Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes (DTUP) and focused on building sustainable relationships in line with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The projects addressed the harmful impacts of human activity on marine ecosystems, such as pollution and overfishing. Several booths used Artificial Intelligence to monitor water quality and Augmented Reality to visualize degraded water samples. By promoting effective ocean protection and responsible use of marine resources, the showcase aimed to raise awareness and inspire action to preserve our oceans which is critical both for marine biodiversity and for the well-being of present and future generations. Our students learned from the innovative displays and demonstrated strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, underscoring the need for collective action to protect our marine environments.
