Sister School Education Tour: A Journey to Jiangxi Normal University Affiliated High School
From 13 to 16 April 2026, a group of teachers and students from The Chinese Foundation Secondary School, led by Assistant Principals Mr. Chan Kwok Leung and Ms. Leung Yue Shan, Jennifer, visited Jiangxi Normal University Affiliated High School (JXNU Attached High School) for a four-day sister school exchange. This was the first in-person visit since the two schools established their sister school partnership, and the results were fruitful, with deep bonds of friendship formed.
During the visit, students from both schools participated together in English, Economics, Music and Craft lessons, engaging in academic exchange. Friendly sports matches were held in football, basketball and badminton, where teamwork and mutual respect grew naturally. The warm-hearted students of JXNU Attached High School enthusiastically guided our students around their campus, sharing glimpses of their daily lives. Teachers from both sides also came together to share insights into Hong Kong’s and the Mainland’s education systems and teaching philosophies, greatly enriching each other’s professional perspectives.
The farewell social gathering on the final evening was the highlight of the exchange. Students from both schools presented wonderful performances – including Jiangxi opera, ethnic dances, Cantonese songs and dance – showcasing the unique charm of their respective cultures. When it was time to say goodbye, teachers and students alike showed their reluctance to part, and promised to meet again in Hong Kong in the future.
This exchange not only broadened our students’ horizons, but also allowed the young people from the two cities to learn respect, understanding and care through genuine interaction. We deeply believe that the meaning of a sister school relationship lies not in a piece of paper, but in the sincere connections between people. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the teachers and students of JXNU Attached High School for their thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality. The wonderful memories of these four days will serve as a solid foundation for the friendship between our two schools, and mark the beginning of many more cross-regional collaborations to come.
