Our students grabbed 2nd Runner-Up in RoboMission Senior Category at WRO 2026 China National Finals & International Invitational
At the WRO 2026 World Robot Olympiad China National Finals & International Invitational which just successfully concluded in Nanjing, Jiangsu, our team Chan Ka Hei (6C), Lau Pui Hei(6C) and Wong Cheuk Ying (6C) stood out in the highly competitive RoboMission Senior Category with exceptional technical strength and calm execution, proudly bringing home the 2nd Runner-Up trophy! This is not only a prestigious national honor but also a brilliant achievement competing alongside top-tier teams from all over the world!
WRO (World Robot Olympiad) is one of the largest and most influential youth robotics competitions globally. Since its inception in 2004, WRO has evolved into a premier tech exchange platform spanning over 95 countries and regions, attracting tens of thousands of teams annually. It serves not only as a litmus test for youth proficiency in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) globally, but also plays a pivotal role in fostering international collaboration in tech education and nurturing future scientists and engineers with a global vision.
This season's WRO theme is "Robots Meet Culture." The RoboMission Senior Category was immensely challenging, requiring robots to fully autonomously perform high-precision tasks within a strict time limit. It served as a rigorous test of the students' mechanical structure design and programming algorithm optimization.
Facing lots of elite youth teams from over 20 provinces across China, the Hong Kong and Macao regions, and more than 10 countries worldwide, our team members worked seamlessly under the double challenge of regular rounds and the Surprise Rule. Thanks to stable code execution and a precise grasping mechanism, they successfully secured their place in the top three.
This hard-earned 2nd Runner-Up medal is not only the best reward for the team's countless days and nights of debugging and practice, but also a strong affirmation of our achievements in science and technology innovation education. We extend our warmest congratulations to the winning students and their mentoring teachers!
