National Day / Martyrs’ Day

To celebrate our country’s 73rd anniversary, CFSS has prepared a series of events for parents, teachers, and students.

During the Annual General Meeting of Parent-Teacher Association, Mr. Wong Wai Ho, our school manager, delivered a talk on the Forbidden City. Mr Wong’s sharing enriched teachers’ and parents’ understanding to the cultural significance of the Forbidden City and gained better understanding to Chinese history.

On 30th September, students shared the joy of National Day by participating online quiz, thematic exhibition, variety show and thematic talk. From the display board on poverty eradication and water resource in China, students acknowledged the recent national development and achievement. During the flag-raising ceremony, Principal Ho shared his thought on the speech delivered by President Xi on the 25th Anniversary of Establishment of HKSAR. He encouraged students to take up the responsibility in constructing a better future of our country and Hong Kong.

In the afternoon, students from our school performed a wide range of traditional Chinese arts including Chinese Dance, Chinese Tea Ceremony, Chinese Speech, and Chinese Orchestra to celebrate the joy of National Day. Many students joined the show to appreciate the great variety of traditional Chinese culture.

CFSS also invited Mr. Tsang Tak-sing, GBS, JP, to our school to deliver a thematic talk on Chinese culture. Mr. Tsang illustrated the development of Chinese culture since ancient time and encouraged our students to play a role in sharing Chinese Story to the World in the future.
