Green Gurus Visiting Hong Kong Biodiversity Museum

To nurture student’s interest on ecology and biodiversity, the Green Guru Team had visited the Hong Kong Biodiversity Museum (HKBM) at The University of Hong Kong on 5th August 2022.

25 Students coming from different forms had visited the Biodiversity Museum. Experts from the School of Biological Sciences at The University of Hong Kong had hosted a guided tour with intriguing microscope demonstration of insect specimen. Green Guru Team and all participants had learnt more about specimen preservation and taxa identification, and to appreciate the wildlife biodiversity.

The HKBM is the first museum in Hong Kong that is dedicated to biodiversity. With over 15,000 specimens, the HKBM hosts the largest and most comprehensive biodiversity collection within Hong Kong.
