Sister School Visit: Zhejiang Jiaxing No.1 High School
A delegation of CFSS consisting of Principal Mr. Ho Tik Shun, consultant Principal Mr. So Yui Hung, Mr. William Du, Assistant Principals Mr. Lam Chi Wai Jimmy, Mr. Ho Chun Man, Ms. Hsu Yuk Fan, Head of Sustainable Development Team Mr. Tong Man Chung Jacky and Development & Events Officer Dr. Chung Fiona paid a warm visit to our Sister School Zhejiang Jiaxing No. 1 High School on 12 June 2023. We were thankful for the warm welcome by Ms. Wu Yi-yun (Secretary and Director of the Municipal Education Bureau), Mr. Wen Quan-xin (Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Municipal Education Bureau), Mr. Zhong Chang-ming (Director of the Liaison Department of the Municipal Education Bureau) and Mr. Zhang Yi-min (Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Zhejiang Jiaxing No.1 High School).
In Zhejiang Jiaxing No. 1 Middle School, both schools conducted in-depth discussions on their school development plans, education missions and pedagogical models. Principal Ho delineated, “The visit has deepened the friendship and strengthened cooperation with each other. I am longing for making significant progress together through more inter-school collaborations in the coming years."
Pr. Zhang enthusiastically introduced how Zhejiang Jiaxing No.1 High School cultivated talents with their school's philosophy. Pr. Ho shared how The Chinese Foundation Secondary School advocated STREAM education, promoting Aerospace Science and Popular Science at a whole-school approach. He thanked the sister school for her hospitality and thoughtful arrangement, and sincerely invited teachers and students for more exchange programs.
Our teachers participated in the two Open Classes conducted by Chinese Language Teacher Ms. Zhang Yi-ting and History Teacher Mr. Lei Qi-bin, followed by detailed post-lesson discussions on the aspects of teaching material enactment, teaching pedagogies, curriculum design and class schedules. We highly appreciated the professionalism of the teachers and the excellent student learning performance in Zhejiang Jiaxing No. 1 Middle School.
The visit to the sister school not only widened the scope of both parties, but also laid a solid foundation for future collaborations. We are looking forward to nurturing more elite students for the betterment of the next generation!
