Teachers' Day and Commendation Certificate Presentation Ceremony 2023
The Salute to Teachers 2023 - Teachers' Day and Commendation Certificate Presentation Ceremony organised by the Committee on Respect Our Teachers Campaign (CROTC) was held on 14 Sep 2023. The Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, officiated at the ceremony and paid tribute to more than 1 500 teachers, the second highest number on record, for their dedication to the teaching profession this year.
The Teachers' Commendation Scheme, which is now in its 28th year and is organised by the CROTC, aims to foster a culture of respect for teachers. Secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens and special schools may each nominate two teachers who have shown commitment and excellence in teaching. Over 36 000 teachers have been commended.
Our Assistant Principal Ms. Hsu Yuk Fan and English Teacher Ms. Lui Wai Chung were the commended teachers in the Scheme on behalf of The Chinese Foundation Secondary School. We congratulate to their achievement and would like to express gratitude to all the teachers for nurturing talents and being selflessly dedicated to their students.
