Prof. Yannis Pitsiladis and Prof. Fred Dubee Visiting CFSS
On 27th September 2023, Prof. Yannis Pitsiladis, the Head and Professor of Sport, Physical Education and Health at Hong Kong Baptist University visited our school togther with our IMP advisor Prof. Fred Dubee. Lead by a group of Principals and Head of Teams, we introduced the special rooms in our school which aim to facilitate student-centered learning. We were honoured for Prof. Pitsiladis's fruitful sharing with our staff during the school campus tour.
Campus tour aside, we had a thorough discussion on sports science education in secondary school context. We were all impressed by his professionalism and dedication to exercising educational-sports research and implementing "active" sports and life education at global perspectives. The dialogues we had brought us valuable insights into introducing health and lifestyle issues to our students in an inter-disciplinary approach.
We look forward to future collaboration with Prof. Pitsiladis and Prof. Dubee as Professional Development Programme (PDP) for our staff and gifted education programme for our students.
