Joyful Parenting Programme: “Starry Road” Movie Appreciation Seminar
CFSS always stresses home-school collaboration. To empower parents to help their children cope with problems they would encounter during their growth, the Counselling Team of our school continues to launch the “Joyful Parenting Programme” in this school year. The “Starry Road” Movie Appreciation Seminar kicked off the Programme in the morning of 28 Oct 2023 (Sat), attracting altogether 180 student, parent and teacher audience in a reserved theatre.
This movie depicts a genuine and inspiring tale. Set in a rural primary school in Guangzhou, a group of students, led by a teacher with no previous experience in rope skipping, undergo rigorous training and consistently surpass their own limits. Within a mere year, they emerge as the world jump rope champions, shattering over ten world records along the way.
During the post-screening sharing session, 3A Yuen Ho Hin, a member of the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Federation, China, amazed all parents and students with his incredible speed rope skills. Deputy Principal Lam Chi Wai Jimmy and PTA Chairlady Ms. Lee Pui Pui Yvonne shared their reflections on the film, highlighting the significance of resilience and perseverance in the pursuit of success. encouraged all students to fortify their determination and never give up.
