"Bamboo Dreams of Hong Kong - The Giant Panda's Journey to Hong Kong" New Book Launch Conference
This year, Hong Kong not only received the third pair of giant pandas as a gift from the central government, but also successfully bred a pair of giant panda twins, making Hong Kong the city with the largest number of giant pandas in the world outside the mainland. In order to tell the story of our national treasure giant panda to young people in Hong Kong, Chung Hwa Book Company (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. published the book "Bamboo Dreams of Hong Kong - The Giant Panda's Journey to Hong Kong" in February. This publication received full support from Ocean Park Hong Kong and the content was jointly reviewed by giant panda experts from Hong Kong and Sichuan.
The Chinese Foundation Secondary School was honored to participate in the new book launch conference held in Ocean Park in the afternoon of 26th February 2025 (Wednesday). School Principal Mr. Ho Tik Shun and Teacher Ms. Chan Ching Ki represented the School on stage to accept the new book presentation, and went to the Panda House with CFSS students to visit the giant panda cubs in person. The school also presented the 70 new books to the student librarians, and held a simple but grand ceremony at the school library's "Panda Library" to thank Chung Hwa Book Company (Hong Kong) Limited and Ocean Park Hong Kong for the gift of new books. CFSS would continue to be committed to promoting Extensive Reading, promoting panda conservation and fostering Sustainable Development education.
