Hong Kong Observatory visit

In order to arouse students’ interest in applied science and their awareness on the impact of global warming, the Science Club organized a visit to the Hong Kong Observatory on 11October, 2008. 16 students from Secondary 1 to 6 participated in this activity.

  • A guided tour on studying the impact of the ecosystem in the Hong Kong Observatory neighborhood.

  • A tutor gives a detailed description on the history of major natural disasters in Hong Kong.

  • Mr Au, our Deputy Principal, presents the flag to the representative of Hong Kong Observatory.

  • Students actively participate in the question and answer session.

  • Students pay attention on tutor’s explanation.

  • An interesting presentation from the tutor.

  • Tutor explains the design of the specific thermometer for measuring the temperature of soil.
