Deepening Rule of Law Concepts and Civic Awareness: S2 Special Talk on the Basic Law and the Constitution Successfully Held at CFSS

To deepen students' understanding of the national constitutional order, our School successfully held an S2 special talk on the Basic Law and the Constitution in the School Hall during Period 4 on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. The talk aimed to enhance S2 students' comprehension of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, establishing a solid foundation in the rule of law and law-abiding awareness.

The talk was both informative and inspiring. Through accessible explanations and real-life examples, the speaker elucidated the close relationship between the Constitution, as the fundamental law of the nation, and the Basic Law, while exploring the core role that the spirit of the rule of law plays in the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong society. This not only broadened students' legal and political horizons but also effectively raised their civic consciousness and sense of national identity.

CFSS has long been dedicated to nurturing national education and civic literacy. Throughout the seminar, the S2 students were fully engaged and listened attentively, demonstrating a keen interest in the national legal system and social development. Looking ahead, the school will continue to promote diversified school-based national education activities and experiential learning, guiding students to reflect and learn in authentic contexts, and actively cultivating the next generation of social pillars who possess an international perspective, love their country, and uphold the law and moral virtues.
