Learning & Teaching Expo 2026
This year's "Learning & Teaching Expo 2026" is themed "Reimagining Education: Human-Centric, Future-Ready," bringing together local and international education experts to explore innovative pathways for the future of learning. Mr. Ho Tik-shun, School Principal of The Chinese Foundation Secondary School, and Mr. Wong Wing-lun, Manager of Discovery & Education at Ocean Park Hong Kong, were invited as guest speakers at the Pedagogy & Curriculum presenting a talk entitled "When the Classroom Connects with Nature: New Possibilities for Practising SDGs Education."
During the session, the two speakers shared valuable insights into the collaborative efforts between Ocean Park Hong Kong and schools, illustrating how concepts of biodiversity and sustainable development can be systematically integrated into school-based curricula through curriculum alignment, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and hands-on activity design. Ranging from teaching material development to fieldwork excursions, and from issue-based inquiry to action-oriented implementation, the presentation offered a wealth of practical strategies and real-life case studies. It inspired educators to rethink the connection between education and the natural world, and encouraged them to work together in nurturing a new generation equipped with global perspectives and environmental awareness.
