Liberal Studies Programme 2009 – 2010 Final Competition
Two groups of our S.3A students have joined the Liberal Studies Competition entitled “Lifestyle and Health”, organized by the Hong Kong Tuberculosis Chest and Heart Disease Association. Students have to work on an investigative project related to “lifestyle and health” for more than half a year. The topics of the two groups are “Drug abuse problem of teenagers in Hong Kong” and “How diet and exercise affect the trend of overweight students among CFSS students”. They interviewed professionals and even recovered drug abuser and conducted surveys and statistical analysis in order to draw conclusive remarks for their projects.
Our 2 groups got through to the final of the competition. More than 30 of our parents, teachers and students joined the occasion to show our support to the groups in the Final Competition held at the Hong Kong Central Library (Lecture Theatre) on 29th May 2010. Of the 21 participating groups, our 2 groups entered the final 6, and eventually have been awarded outstanding performance groups.
