Nansha Study Tour
To elucidate the development of Pearl River Delta and the concept of sustainability in the recent years, more than 30 teachers and students joined the study tour to Nansha from 3rd to 5th August 2011. Besides visiting a private transformer factory, the famous international factory Yakult, Guangzhou University Town and a museum, students interviewed workers, farmers and retired Government officials. They also took precious chance of experiencing farming practice and performing experiments to investigate the detrimental effects of recent economic development on coastal marine ecology in the region. They knew much more about the recent developments of the Pearl River delta.
