Low-Carbon Guru: “Back to the Future” Monopoly
To promote low-carbon lifestyle, Low-carbon Gurus successfully organized “Back to the Future” Monopoly in the covered playground from 28 to 30 May 2012. Using 70 display boards, a maze was set up with thematic checkpoints, namely Global Warming Zone, Landfill Zone, Water Shortage Zone, Kitchen Waste Zone and Disaster Zone, with environmental problems arisen 50 years later coming alive to the students. Gurus wanted students to reflect the importance of their lifestyle to environmental conservation through a series of questions and punishments in the checkpoints. Gurus would like to thank for everyone’s full support to the activity. Nearly 100 students and teachers have promised to treasure food, save resources and reduce energy consumption, to protect the Earth for the sake of the next generations.
