Our Student Leads a Team of Four to Emerge Gold Awardees in Gifted Angels – Service Learning Competition Organised by HKAGE
In the Gifted Angels – Service Learning Competition organised by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE), completed in December 2011, Wong Lillian (4A) from our School successfully led her team of four to grab the Gold Award in the Competition with project title “童•話”.
With the slogan “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”, all participating teams drafted their innovative plans on helping the community and the people in need; however, only the shortlisted ones might present their proposals to the adjudicators. Through active voting by HKAGE student members and deliberate consideration by the panel of adjudicators, our team emerged as the Gold Award recipient. The plan will be executed by the winning team in conjunction with 50 volunteers in spring and summer, 2012. Throughout the event, students were encouraged to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, creativity, communication skills and leadership.
We are delighted to see more of our students showing their social awareness these years. We wish all of them to become citizens with a strong sense of responsibility in the future.
