Junior Achivemenet Company Programme 2011/12 Trade Fair

The Junior Achievement Company Programme (JACP) is one of the largest secondary school business events and the most popular JA program, instilling in your people all over the world real business, teamwork, and leadership skill. Under the guidance of volunteer business advisers, students form a mini-corporation and operate business to an extent as far as they can. Students elect officers, develop business plans, sell stock, produce and market real products or services, conduct stockholders’ meeting and liquidate their company, in about 18 weeks. Students also have the opportunity to real marketplace experience by selling their products or services in the “Company Programme Trade Fair” to gain a solid career-related experience.

Twenty four students from S.5E joined this programme.  Setting up a JA company named Circus, they selected their CEO (Ho Chun Ho) and organized different teams, including the sales and marketing team (Director: Chan Sin Ki), the production team (Director: Sze San San), the finance team (Director: Kwok Ying), the human resources team (Director: Tsui Sin Chi Niki) and the IT team (Director: Chan Nicol). Their self-designed products are tote bags, photo frames and Christmas socks.

The Trade Fair this year was held in the Plaza of Kwai Tsing Theatre. Our students set up a booth (No. 52) with a theme of circus.  Some of them costumed as magicians, clowns and Santa girls in promoting and selling their products. With the supervision and guidance of the two JA supervisors, they learnt quickly the sales techniques and enjoyed much with the trading activities.

Circus ended the Fair with joy. They will work on the liquidation and annual report soon. Let’s wish them luck and success.
