Meeting Face to Face with Nobel Laureate Professor Roger D. Kornberg

Fifty students and staff of CFSS were invited to meet Professor Kornberg, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2006, on 20 November 2013 at the Conference Hall of the Hong Kong Science Park. The Interactive Session for secondary school students was one of the key events of the Hong Kong Biotech Horizons Symposium hosted by Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization. The four hundred or so strong audient was amazed that the laureate's research idea dated back to the diffusion experiment of copper sulphate in his high school. Our students took this invaluable opportunity in asking enthusiastically the Professor numerous questions. They were all impressed and enlightened by the inspiring conversation of this memorable occasion.
