Champion in 1st Roche Young Scientist Award

Roche Young Scientist Award offers students in Hong Kong a chance to bring their creative ideas to life. The competition is open to all local students 13 to 16 years of age, and each team must submit a project that addresses a health issue that makes a practical difference to human lives. This year, a total of nearly 100 project entries, were submitted by about 250 students territory-wide.

After initial qualifying rounds, our school has total four teams entering the final on 4 May, 2013. At the end, one team of three S.1 students was awarded the Roche Young Scientist Champion. Among the prizes, this trio of students has won the opportunity to visit the Roche’s headquarters in Switzerland this August under a full 5-day sponsorship. They will also have the golden opportunity to speak to some of the world’s top scientists in the healthcare field.
