CFSS Students Getting the Best Index Application Prize for Junior Section in 2014/15 Statistical Project Competition for Secondary School Students

The 2014/15 Statistical Project Competition for Secondary School Students was co-organized by the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Statistical Society, and sponsored by Hang Send Indexes Company Limited. The competition aimed to promote the interest of secondary school students in research methods, statistics and statistical techniques, to encourage students to understand the local community in a scientific and objective manner through the proper use of statistics, and to promote a sense of civic awareness. Among the 131 statistical projects from 45 secondary schools, our S.3 students stood out and received the Prize for the Best Index Application for Junior Section. In their project, they analyzed the reasons for the rise of the Consumer Price Index.
