PBL-II Hall Presentation 12/13

The Hall Presentation of PBL-II 12/13 was successfully held on 12th March. The theme of the year are “Sustainable Development” and “Care for the World”. The twelve shortlisted project groups carried out investigations into solutions to health, environmental (such as the application of fruit skin to remove oil stains and fruit seeds to make natural preservatives as alternatives to chemical substances) and humanities topics (such as the preservation of dai pai dong, a study on the subdivided housing units and the employment situation of persons with hearing disability), which have drawn great attention in Hong Kong society. Our former principal Mr. Chow Sik-cheong and Assistant Principal Dr Lau Kai-shui joined the occasion to ask questions and give comments to the groups.

This year, the project groups’ efforts were acknowledged based on the streams of their projects — Science or Humanities. The champion of the Science category is group B3, with their title ‘Myth or Truth? The Wonderful Cleaning Agent — “Garbage Enzyme”’. Group B2 is the champion of the Humanities category by completing ‘A Study on Paper Recycling, and Paper Recycling with Organic Waste Additives’. Group B3 is also awarded the Overall Champion of project work of this academic year.
