Junior Achievement Company Programme 2012/13 Trade Fair
The Junior Achievement Company Programme (JACP) is one of the largest secondary school business events and the most popular JA program, instilling in your people all over the world real business, teamwork, and leadership skill. Under the guidance of volunteer business advisers, students form a mini-corporation and operate business to an extent as far as they can. Students elect officers, develop business plans, sell stock, produce and market real products or services, conduct stockholders’ meeting and liquidate their company, in about 18 weeks. Students also have the opportunity of real marketplace experience by selling their products or services in the “Company Programme Trade Fair” to gain a solid career-related experience.
Fourteen S5 students and eleven S4 students joined this programme. Setting up a JA company named Ventus Aqua (meaning wind & water), they selected their CEO (S5D Ng Tsz Yu), and organized different teams, including the sales and marketing team (Director: S5A Tsui Yung Kin Samuel), the production team (Director: S5D Chan Kei Yau), the finance team (Director: S5D Wong Kwan), the human resources team (Director: S4D Heung Hiu Lam) and the IT team (Director: S5D Au Hei Tung Calvin). Their self-designed products are notebooks, sachets and colour pens with cases.
The Trade Fair this year was held in the Chater Garden in Central. Our students set up a booth (No. 3) with a theme of Chinese temple. Some of them costumed as fortune teller, Fuwa and Chinese doll in promoting and selling their products.
Ventus Aqua ended the Fair with joy. They will work on the liquidation and annual report soon. Let’s wish them luck and success.
