Remarkable Progress in Data Treasure Hunt – Champion and 2nd Runner-up

The “Data Treasure Hunt” Competition organized by HKBU is about data analysis and visualization. Students are required to collect thousands of data from web, analyze them and draw to some sensible conclusions. The insights are then presented by using graphs and word clouds. 2 CFSS teams, with a total of 8 students, attended a 2-day workshop organized by HKBU in March, learning all the concepts and related software to assist their research in the following 3 months. The teams presented their projects on the final competition day on 6 July 2017. The 2 teams are honoured to obtain the champion and 2nd runner-up places of the competition.
