CFSS Receiving "Science Popularization and Innovation School Award" in The 18th Soong Ching Ling Award for Children's Invention
Our school is committed to promoting Citizen Science to cultivate scientific pillars. In 2013, we were honored to receive the "School of Distinction Award" and "Outstanding Organization Award" of the 28th China Adolescents Science & Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC). In 2016, we received the Exemplary School Award from the National Working Committee for UNESCO Project on Education for Sustainable Development in China. In 2017, we received the Honour of Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (CEATE) in Science Education Key Learning Area. In 2022, we obtained the Gold Award (Secondary Section) in The Education Bureau STEAM Education Fair 2022.
In addition to popular science education, our students have also shined in many STREAM competitions. In April 2023, our students grabbed 36 prizes in The 25th Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Invention Competition. We have altogether got 4 First Place Grand Awards, 4 Second Place Grand Awards, 2 Third Place Grand Awards, 19 Merit Awards and 7 Special Awards in research, invention, fiction, organization and teacher categories. Above all, it has been the twelve year of our School to receive an Outstanding Participating School Award. In addition, our school got superb results in The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2023. After the initial judging with over 200 participating teams, we finally got 1 Team grabbing Champion, 1 Team grabbing First Runner-up and 1 Team grabbing Social Innovation Award.
On October 7, 2023, our school attended the 37th China Adolescents Science & Technology Innovation Competition Award Ceremony (Hong Kong Region). Our school won the "Science Popularization and Innovation School Award" in The 18th Soong Ching Ling Award for Children's Invention. We will continue to promote popular science and technology education to our students, at the same time to foster exchange with different parties to improve the STREAM education in the territory.
