CFSS students participating in iNaturalist Species Surveying 2024
The City Nature Challenge (CNC) is a large-scale citizen science event that support species surveying around the world. This encourages the students and citizens from different participating cities to use the free iNaturalist app to record observations of local wildlife.
The data collected from our students during the surveying is contributed to a global biodiversity database, which helps the worldwide scientists to conduct important ecological research. The participation in iNaturalist Species Surveying did not only engages our students in hands-on science, but also generates valuable information to advance our understanding of urban ecosystems and pay more attention to our daily living. Hence, applying what they have learnt from the classroom lessons.
