S.2 Students in the Hall's Limelight - PBL-II Hall Presentation 11/12

The Hall Presentation of PBL-II 11/12 was successfully held on 8th March. Echoing with the Area of Major Concern “Sustainable Development” this year, twelve shortlisted project groups completed enthusiastically.  The audience, both S.1 and S.2 students, acquired from the presenters heaps of new knowledge on intangible heritage such as the development and sustainability of acupuncture (Group B2) and the future of grocery stores in Hong Kong (Group E3), and environmental issues such as the situation of electronic waste in the city (Group E5), the generation of energy from fruits (Group D1) and wastewater (Group A4). Our former principal, Mr. Chow Sik-cheong, and Ms. Chan Hoi-kei joined the occasion by asking questions and giving comments to the presenters.

This year, project groups were segmented and assessed based on their research streams — Science or Humanities. The champion of Science Stream is Group A1 (Title: Adsorption of lead ions by food waste) while that of Humanities Stream is Group B1 (Title: The development and sustainability of acupuncture in Hong Kong). Group A1 also clinched the honour of Overall Champion.
