Low Carbon Guru Program

Low Carbon Guru Program is organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to enhance participants' understanding of the issues of climate change and sustainable life through a series of interactive activities. Viki Ho, Alan Ng, Samuel Tsui, Lillian Wong from S.4A and Twinkle Lam from S.4D, accompanied by Mr. Ho Tik Shun, joined the program. After Swearing Ceremony, the group participated in the Low Carbon Adventure Camp during 16 – 18 Sept 2011 to contribute themselves to environmental protection, e.g. investigating coral reef habitat and the surrounding pollution situation, assisting clearance of Micro micrantha in mangrove marshes, experiencing organic farming practices and joining field trip to Tai Po New Town to understand correlation between town planning and sustainable development. The program aims at helping students promote the concept of sustainable development to the whole school and surrounding communities in a creative and effective manner.
